i had galep4 since 2001, i replaced it to galep5 in january.
g4 is a good device a bit slow on psop44 and no pin check (you have to read/verify a few times if you use ZIF socket, else u lost data if a leg have bad connection) also work on LPT port only
g5 is much professional but price is higher.

galep5 a great tool but expensive including adapters, I went to willem gq-4x and always work well, it does not cost even a lot of updates included!

I bought galep5 without adapter and is a great tool but unfortunatly, i found a small problem for such equipment, it don 'not have the auto search for the chip's it is the only inconvinient .

The only thing that is bad for Galep-4 foot controller is ZIF40, so if you need to do for example in a fles TSOP48 have to buy a special adater which costs money, or make it yourself. I recently made ***8203;***8203;one for TSOP48 and thought I solved the problem when it turned out that he was in fles 8bit and 16 bit for the flesh must make another.
if anyone has a pinout in TSOP48 to DIP40 position 2 for 16bit fles a place here.
Here If you need a pinout for 8bit.

Do not buy, this programmer is very old and bad, if you misplace the circuit it will probably kill it...

its big, and it needs external power supply, sockets are very expensive..

You shuld buy MiniPro TL866 with adapters from ebay, this is the best programmer i have ever used, and it is also very cheap..

I have several times placed the chips wrong way, and the overcurrent protection inside this programmer is very good.
i have never killed any chips by placing them in wrong direction with this minipro programmer, but i cant say the same about the galep-4.

I do not plan to buy Galep 4, but I got it and I am working with him for more than 5 years and I am very pleased with it. There are regular free update to the official site CONITEC with him and I never made ***8203;***8203;any problem. The thing that is bad is a little zif40
If I changed the controller will again be Galep-5 or BEEPROG.
