View Full Version : Vectra C - Door module failed?

Hi people
I need to pick your brains as I'm not very clued up on Vaux/Opel, as I've never owned one before.

I've bought a vectra C and there are a couple of problems with the drivers door....the central locking doesn't work on it, the window and the mirror doesn't work either.

But you can control the pass mirror/window with the switch. Also if you unlock the drivers door with the key it sets the alarm off, so obviously something is working (not sure if the door opening sensor is part of the c/l solenoid??)

I took the doorcard off and noticed that they have a module/ECU that appears to control everything for that door...

......question is...does it sound like this module is faulty? Also if I was to replace it, do they need coding to the car or are they plug and play?

Thanks

Check your door wiring in the rubber gaiter first, and yes the door modules need coding, its also part of the immo so if its not coded car wont start mate,(well they for DEFO dont if both door modules arent) i had to code BOTH in last week on vectra c vxr easy enough, using op com or tech,
P.S. yea fault does sound like DDM

Agree, CAN confirm no start if not coded - why - how shit?

Flynins mate can you guide us through how to code them in - do you need pin codes?

Also you need to get the corret number on it and on VX the ID is important "AL" in your case.

Try www.megavaux.co.uk (http://www.megavaux.co.uk) there cool as hell and they ALWAYS uncode everything they have.

when I fitted a CIM recently I had error codes for the DDM and PDM because of immo (I expected fuseboxes and ECU and dealt with them as normal).
I just re-set and set them with PIN and the faults went away

Certainly meaty mate, firstly yes needed pin code for donor DDM, which i got from the clocks, as had half a ecu lock set (then fitted ddm and reset with donor pin), then using op com go into BODY, then DDM then select programming then you should have immo programming, enter pin, then its all straight forward.
Let me know if i missed anything out there as doing this from the top of my head, also door modules i used had different id on but they seemed ok, all customer wanted was car started

Why would I need the immo code from the donor car?

Surely if I'm programming it to my car, then I'd need the immo code for my car to access the immo system?

As you need pin for the donor ddm unless its new or been reset first, im pretty sure that i used the pin for the donor ddm (which i got pin from clocks) so to reset it before i programmed it into the car.

And yes if your going into immo in your car you need your pin, which on car pass and is accessible from clock dump.
What i meant before is you wont be able to access donor DDM programming with YOUR cars pin without it being reset first. I used donor ddm with donor pin fitted and then reset it.
