Good evening,
it's my first dump i read it with uupa, trying to solve a crash in airbag of peu207-year 2006,the crash was fired only the two front pretentinnors.i clear the dump and put it back without changing the pretentionnors,so the light of airbag still on!
so please can someone explain for me the right procedure?
1-may i configure the airbag unit with diag tester(option:"no pretentionnor present" or deactivated)?
2-is it possible to change this configuration on the dump directly(edit it)?
3-wath about the tip to putting a small resistor in the end of the wire connected to the pretentionnor?
4-or the only solution is to change a new pretentionnor?
i put here the two dump of the airbag unit, and it's :
bosch 0285010111-part n? 9663593280-00
thank you in advance!!!!!

thank you for your good explanation, but i'm confuse to understand were is the benefit of reading, writing a clear dump when it's not necessary in my case(because the unit can support more then one crash)?and finally i must only change fired components and clear the DTC stored with diagnostic tester!? please this is correct or not?
regards.

If your control unit supports more than one crash then you dont have to clear the dump just clear fault codes after replacing pretensioners.
In some models (i tryed and it worked in a peugeot 406 MY2002) you can program unit and deactivate pretensioners. But the right thing you have to do is to change pretensioners erase fault codes so airbags will be ready to do their job in the right way if another crash happens.
Why someone will want to have airbags if they are not in full working contition?
