cummins 3 pin to 1 pin oil pressure

Need some help here guys.

I have a cummins 5.9 that updated the oil pressure switch from the old 3 pin to the new style 1 pin. I heard this is a common deal and the computer needs to be re flashed for it.

I have all the equipment but I have never done this update. Is it a full re flash or just some type of sensor update? Anyone have any info on this?
