I am thinking of getting a Mercedes A class diesel (A170 or A160 probably). From previous experience I know that Mercs with manual boxes are never really right so I think I want an automatic.
The problem is I don't really want a CVT, they are too expensive to mend.
Google is not helping me find what gearboxes are fitted to what models in what years.
Does anyone know, preferably the ZF numbers but any info will do.

Ever solved this one? http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f155/citroen-c3-2003-injector-280148/
A bit of feedback would be appreciated.

Hi
First of all A class I personally would not even think of it as they are expensive toys.............also when it comes to Air Mass fault you end up buying the whole ECU.........:banghead:

Yes I solved it. The injector wasn't coded so I just stuck a new one in. I thought that was pretty obvious from the thread.
What sort of feedback did you want?

For the next guy that's looking it is a standard Mercedes auto box model 722.7 up to 2005 and after that it is a CVT.
