Recently my vm services went off for over 12 hours as the green box was vandalised, when they came back on a few premium channels have a bad snr reading(below 90)any ideas as im not using a splitter or is it best to reflash the box as i've heard the image can become corrupted.Cheers ppl.:party :

you might need a booster if the signal is weaker now :)

shouldn't really be a physical problem as the problem has arose out of no where so a re flash cant really hurt.....
maybe vm have been doing some work in your area if your reflash doesnt work and you subscribe to a basic package might be worth givin the f*ckers a call.
obviously don't say "my dreambox snr has dropped below 90 what are you f*ckers doing?" or anything along those lines

Before you buy an expensive amplifier, invest in an ultra cheap attenuating filter.
You screw them inline with your cable and they can help increase the signal to noise ratio.

i've done a reflash but same problem with the same channels,i bought a 1 way philex booster from argos but im not sure if it's the right thing 4 the job,im sure im missing a lead 2 connect to the booster,i've got an old tv to vcr lead but i've still got 1 spare input on the booster box.If the tuner is going on my box would i still get a good snr reading on the other premium channels.

just an idea :)
are you running of a splitter for internet and dreambox ?
add the booster after the splitter then to the dreambox
if no
plug the main to the input socket on the booster
then another cable from the output of the booster to the dreambox
but you probally no that lol

i've got a vm splitter for my tv and broadband, also i've tried putting the cable input into the input of the booster and using a lead from the output of booster to output of dreambox but its not right cause theres no picture there, does that make any sense.

vm cable needs to go in the input on booster. the lead from the output of booster needs to go in the input on your dreambox

is there a lead or coaxial adapter i can buy,cos the lead i have is an old tv to vcr and it has 1 input and 1 output end,an i think i need a lead with 2 inputs.

Got it sorted,i bought a rg6 lead from b&q ?3 plugged it into the booster and dreambox and im getting between 94 & 96 snr, also i could'nt do a transponder scan for my area now i can.It might be the tuner going as i've done a few for my mates and their boxes picked up the area transponder.Scratching my head here as i can't come up with any other explaination?:hmmmm:
