anyone knows if existe a double socket for a 27c256 or 512, to switch between a eprom OEM and tuned one ?!

some old ecu have dip or plcc eprom !
I think to get a socket that can hold the ori and a mod to swich between !
command from the inside of the car !
what do you suggest

it is possible to make the change on running !

I"m talking about this because the XSI"s saxos and 316 E36 for example !

You may be able to swap when running if you switch OE between two eproms.

I think he means bigger eeprom double size in place of original and switch with Vdd

I did this on a bmw a while back, never thought to do it on 29fxxx

hi, I have installed on various cars dual map of ecuvonix. Very functional and easy to exchange. Do not be simple button, but exchanges data with current protection and block low return value.

Yes rigth, also very easy to do:
PCB, socket, resistor, cable & tin.
Cost aprox 2 euro.
use a eprom dual capacity Original, exemplo 27c512 if original is 27c256, can switch between two settings even with the car running.
Use for many years.

if you don't want to use duble size eprom u can make with two eproms one up to other and switch between OE (output enable) pins . Two resistor 1k from +5v to OE and switch
