Very easy - it simply means that vcc is overloaded :P

Check vcc voltage with fast multimeter with no overshoot or scope when attempting to read. If voltage is low, check mcu circuit for other +5V consumers and disconnect them (desolder some component or lift pin). If you can not find problem with overloaded vcc xprog output - find other solution, find 5V regulator on targed board and supply your target pcb.

Hi
I will be posting here to not open another thread...
I am trying to read MC69HC05B32 with Xprog-m...
I have removed the MCU from the board and the oscillator and have soldered the connectios as per the Xprog manual...

your last pic shows blank check verification. how about you hit yes and the rest went well? address 100h on hc05b/x is an option register (security byte) not for user data even it's there. if the rest went well you can leave the data on 100h that way, changing it from 7Fh to some others may cause the chip become locked.

FINALLY SORTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The whole problem was due to the use of the Xprog 5.3 (with dongle)...
Uninstalled and installed the 5.0, and viol?!:trytofly:

The dump was ok, and the code is 1834!

Just out of curiosity, I have attached the dump...

Thank you all for the help!
