It's Mondeo Mk3 or Mk4?
If it is Mk3 you can change the configuration of SRS unit. Not all cars have occupancy sensor and, as I know, there is a possibility to do it...

Same problem here, its a 2001 Mondeo with a B2290 fault in
a Airbag ECU with the Part-Number 1S7T-14B056-BE.
The Dealer couldn?t or didn?t want to help , only sell a new part.
With what tool can this be done via OBD ? Or can it be done in eprom ?

That code in the RCM means that there is a code in the OCM, occupant module. Scan OCM for codes

This car doesn?t have a diagnostic OCM/OCS - not in FoCOm, not in ForScan and not in Ford VCM.
Dealer said only newer ones have this. Not the old Mondeo.
