Hi
A question about trouble-codes after tuning volvo edc16's .
We have done a few Volvo's with different remaps from different tuners.
When we use after that Vida or Autologic, we get the trouble code : Faulty or modified software in ECU.
Is there a way to get that away ?
When we write the original flash and eeprom back there are no trouble codes

Different check sum this causes the fault code.

do they use your original and mod it? or your specialist already provide you with a file, without you sending the original first?

I send the original file and get the remap back.
I would like to know how "big" volvo tuners do this, i can not imagine a tuner like polestar or Rica has a trouble code afterwards.

I don know how is after rica but polestar know how to calculate checksum and know where to write.

The original checksum is also stored in the CEM so ANY tuning file should throw up that code unless the checksum in the CEM is also changed
