Hi everyone. I have a benz w203 with 271 motor- The old ECU is missing so I have taken a second hand 271 ecu from a scrapyeard. The ecu has the siemens 29f800bb flash. I have virginised the ecu and performed drive in authorization with star. The vehicle starts but does not rev over 2000rpm as no SCN has been performed. What do you guys suggest I do. I have attached the original flash file (from before I virginised) Please let me know what you suggest.

Thank you

Thank you Bram, must I just load and perform drive authorization? -no scn needed?

You don't need SCN to fix the car, just use Bram's file as you used yours

Hi Sogaro, I have done a diagnosis and it shows no fault codes. I went through the 'development data' , -control unit adaptions- variant coding. And it gives an error that 'atleast one coding setting is invalid. Check and correct coding setting.

I have tried selecting the different models from the list of engines but everytime it then says communication error

You need to select the right coding to get it right. Or maybe you can get the correct coding from EPC . Lastly, the replacement ecu may be bad for all you care.

Or maybe you can try to use this dump in your ECU, this method has worked for me before.

Hi guys
Sogaro- I tried going through the list coding variants and each one that I select comes up with an error. I even tried loading the file onto another second hand ecu but I experience the same problem. The car starts and idles fine, but only revs to 2000rpm..

milanista- i tried your file but after performing drive authorization it starts but only runs a few seconds before cutting out and it runs extremely roughly.

Any other suggestions? starting to get a little desperate.. thanks
