this company has palmed them off by saying yous have done something with the handset lol.

they also said they have changed from baltic to lithuian .which i find hard to believe ..as the owner says he dosent think they changed the card .

now im left with this. told them to leave box turned on waiting maybe for a activation through sat ..

now im stuck with this
as i play bloody golf there

whats the best way to try and activate these cards, they just after golf chanel .

are they receiving any channels .......... are they sure the sub hasnt been cancelled? there was a thing a while ago about baltic cards being switched off as a rogue batch were caught being used in the uk and violated t&cs so were switched off.................

thanks for relpy .m8 . right pain in the bum really .he said it was working a few weeks ago .

just had a quick look .

i checked the dish that was ok . he had it on chanels couldnt dont think they were fta as it was a black screen( golf chanel). and to far away from me even with me glasses on lol.

i was more concerned at the time at the amount of splitters . in the distribtion side no modualator just looped into old vcr .through scart .god a mess .

sort of thinking do lithiania cards view diff chanels .

i need to have a look on me box as i dont watch viasat that often even though i can clear them.

owenb is correct loads of these got switched off and retailers had to get in contact with card suppliers to get them re-activated, Although as soon as Viasat (Baltic) found out these where being used in the UK they switched all off completely due to pressure from the EPL.

If you are not getting Viasat Golf then the Sub and card are dead and you have little hope in getting it turned back on

If the box has been switched off for a few weeks or more, then the card will lose entitlements just like a sky UK card.

Just put back on the golf channel & in a day or so, it should come back on.
This is ofcourse providing the contract on the card hasn't actually ran out...it does happen you know.

& yes you can change from Lithuanian to Estonian etc by
doing a factory reset & then starting the installation process from scratch where you can select from various countries.

The Baltic ones have a similar batch of channels, but only the
Lithuanian one has the Sport1 channel.

If they are just after the Golf channel, then send me a PM
as i know one or two places with boxes & cards with two years still left to run that might be looking for a buyer as they only got them for the football.

not quite correct...

Viasat didn't turn cards off , they restricted channels which is a big difference.
If you bought a 3 year card from Lithuania, it will still work, but you don't get the 3pm football anymore.
They even added the motor channel to their gold packages over the last few months.
The card will re-activate if left on the golf channel long enough.
Usually from 2 hours upto 48 hours providing the card is still in it's contract period.
I know this as i have just brought two boxes back to life this week.
Viasat sport baltic still shows most Sky & Espn games by the way.

Yes, it's a pity about the football.
Most places only needed the 3pm's.

But still worth it for Golf clubs.

All events covered , even ones not on Sky or BBC,
plus all the F1 including practice sessions.

Plus still getting most sky / espn premier league games.
Plus the Xtra channels showing Champions League games.

I know one or two Golf clubs who are not too bothered about the football & just take that as a bonus really.

If you get "not locked" that means you don't have a signal so the box is most certainly not going to work.

Read further up this thread, the card won't have been turned off unless it's contract has ran out.
