Working on a Canter with Mitsubishi 4M50 engine. The engine does not start, observed that the R/S rockerarm bolt were loose, thighten the bolts and as soon as you attempted to start the bolts get loose again.

Removed front cover to check timing gears, found fan drive gear bushing fused to gear, replace bushing and timed engine according to manual specs.

When attempting to do valve clearance engine stopped turning after about 90 degrees rotation, exhaust valves #4 and intake valves #3 cylinders hitting pistons.

Rechecked timing once more but all gears are in allingment, checked for any shared key on the timing gears, found none. I know there is a timing issue but I cannot find anything abnormal

Any advice gentlemen

Thanks

Found the fault
The crankshaft key shared and the gear on the crankshaft moved from its original position.
