After changing a file extension from .bin to .dim and using Dimsport with a Bdm 100 to write this full bdm read file back into a Golf 5 ecu I got an error message and now it wont let me in to reprogram it . The ecu appears dead in that there is no MIL light and also no comms with diagnostics , have I damaged the MPC562 ? Is there a way to reprogram original file ?? please help , thanks ,regards

Are they compatible?
I thought bdm2go was stuck with winols, and not a normal file.

When I read the ecu the opening screen of Dimsport shows that it recognizes the ecu , the part number and even the vin number are displayed correctly , next it correctly identifies the mcu family as well as the flash .The problem is when the reading of block number 0x00020000 is completed there is an error message " Block read error (E10) " .I have changed the flash very carefully from the original board but still get the same error , any advise ,thanks ,regards
