i am guessing that you would insert the key into the cfw of the hitachi or samsung.
How do you know the liteon drive is dead?

I have 2 guides for flashing a liteon and done a few now, what method are you using, jungleflasher by any chance

Using Jungleflasher.

If you made a dummy.bin when you 1st dumped the lite-on files, it would be the preferred way.

in JF, load the dummy.bin, or the 3 files key.bin, inquiry.bin and identify.bin in the top source section.

Then in the lower target box select iXtreme1.5 samsung.

then hit spoof to target button in the middle, this will create the spoofed firmware, which you can now save and proceed to flashing the sammy.

For Hitachi you would need to use firmware toolbox and inject the key and spoof, not recommended until Hitachi 1.5 is out, which will safely support lite-on spoofing.
