I have had a problem recently with my clone, it happens on different versions of vix so its not software.

When I turn on it works for a while then sticks on starting, could it be a hard drive issue or is it more likely a psu problem?

Have you actually tried any other image apart from Vix to rule this out first before you decide its the PSU or connected hard drive

You could try it with hdd disconnected first to see if that's the problem.

Have you also made sure the plug connection from psu to main board is pushed fully home this can cause a few different issues with clones when its not pushed fully home

Thanks for the answers, I opened up the box and disconnected the hard drive, the box did the same. I the put on black hole and it did the same with the hard drive disconnected.

The plug was fully engaged too

Any thoughts?

Pretty much sounds like the PSU then

Can it be repaired or does it need replaced? I worried about another one doing the same so quickly. I tried to contact aspley who I bought from but I think they have gone awol

all the boxs from aspley or his hide behind company's dreamboxparts . co.uk and dreambox . me.uk seem to be the ones giving the most bother

i got 10 from the c-nt after 25 duo's for his shop ended up at my door by mistake

only to end up with 4 faulty out of ten i have bought from other wholesalers and not had any trouble with clones until aspleys junk got here

im starting to think aspley is bring in the cheaper cloned clones as there is a few differences from the good clones

he promised all sorts and then you never here from him or from rola at whatever factory his junk boxs come from so take this a good warning do not buy from any of the above named shops unless you want a bad box

im still awaiting his reply maybe he might have the balls to reply to this

How does this guy stay in business? I've only ever heard bad things about him and his companies.
