Hi Guys,
just about going mad.
Bought a Dell 110L with no hard drive.
Replaced drive and installed XP with sp3 from a Dell disk.

All went well except I have 2 items under "other devices" with yellow ?

Assuming these have been acuratly identified by windows they are
Ethernet Controller and
Video Controller

Both without drivers, I have been round and round the official Dell site even used the SERVICE TAB number but no luck finding the drivers.

Any one piont me in the right direction please!

I hope this is the reason I can not connect to the internet

Sometimes, others drivers can be chipset drivers.

Update

I have seen the Dell page and downloaded the drivers before. So I looked again and there was only one listing for video drivers so started there.

Ran the exe file and it installed again no difference. So I went to update driver and sent it to the location it had just expanded the file to, and it worked.

Looked for the ethernet driver and couldn't find so loaded 6 drivers and found one not previously tried and it worked. Problem 1/2 solved.

I can now connect to net via a cable but when I try via Wi-Fi it stays in a perminant state of "aquiring network address"

Will google and see what I can find.

Thanks everyone.
