Hi Everyone,

I have a Vetronix GM Opel/Vauxhall Tech 2, it works great for diagnostics etc but have problems trying to enable/disable options such as Aircon, Traction Control, Cruise etc etc.

The Tech 2 displays:

'No Programming approval found! Please get programming approval from TIS'.

Can anyone point me in the right direction or shed any light please?

Its annoying having a Tech 2 with limited functions and a cloned Opcom doing more.

Many thanks and best regards

I'm not certain about this now, and I will openly admit that I do not have a tech 2, but I'm pretty sure you need a programme such as TIS2000 or GlobalTIS to download the required programming software onto the Tech2. You then connect the tech 2 to the car and upload the new programming software.

Thats my understanding of using the tech 2 anyway.

Hello
Your Tech2 has not got limited functions.
Its as Pnoddy says you need to have Tis on your computer.
Easily available just do a search.

Hi Guys, Thanks for the reply, appreciated!

I have just installed GlobalTIS V20? and I have am just waiting to get it activated (If anyone can help?).

Does anyone know if it is simply a case of connecting my Tech 2 to GlobalTIS to get approval or is there more involved?

Many thanks

Just go to security access and follow instructions.
It is simple.

Thank you. Once I have GlobalTIS do you know if it requires the dongle install as per the Topic on this forum? Or is this only required on TIS 2000?

Cheers

Dongle is only for TIS2000....for Global TIS no dongle needed.
