I have installed the latest ubuntu as a card server, and I want to use the same pc to configure dream boxes. I have tried several ways to innstall it, but I havent got it right yet. Is there a wizard who can explain this to an newbie??

It looks like "dreamup for linux beta 1.3" is the latest known package but it is quite outdated.
you could try apt-get installing "libgdk-pixbuf" and then extract the package and change to that directory in a terminal:

Type in terminal:

sudo chmod 755 DreamUP_Linux_1_3_beta
sudo ./DreamUP_Linux_1_3_beta

these guys managed to get it working:
