I must admit that I do NOT understand why a single tuner box can be made and sold for under ?30, but the cheapest twin tuner box I can find sells for about ?300!!!

if people are that tight with money buy 2 boxes ,one to record and other to watch, their is the difference in quality and what you get and what backup/support there is.

Yes, i have been looking into the Amiko Alien2 aswell.
If you don't want a box for nothing more than to watch TV & record aswell, this might be the one to go for.
It can run E2 aswell but that seems buggy at the moment going by some reports.
The Spark system seems quite stable by some reports & that will allow you do most basic things like watch tv & record.
Still waiting to here more feedback on it yet before i buy this box, but it's an option.
You can get them around ?140-?160

Has anyone tried the Golden Media Spark Triplex yet ? any reports ?. Noticed it is a German product.
Looked at YouTube video and it looks quite impressive, loads of features, no mention of internal hard drive though, selling at ?139 on Ebay.

Has anyone tried the Golden Media Spark Triplex yet ? any reports ? Friend of mine has one. He is pretty happy with that, flies well. Emulators working fine. No green screens. Basically there is enough place inside to install internal hard drive, although in this version, hoverer there is no connectors. Probably DIY job can help.

if there are no internal connections maybe its not suppose to have an internal hdd [ overheating issues if fitted ? ]use a powered external one.
