Being asked to pay to download again question?

My boy's xbox packed up and he got another secondhand one, plugged in the hard drive and has rung me to say his saves arent on there and also he paid on the other box to have minecraft but its not on his HD and when trying to download again on replacement box he's being asked to pay again

This isnt right is it?

found answer on xbox live, told boy what to do so waiting to see if it works.

hmmm, he said if he goes into games on his HD then minecraft is there and his saves but there is no option to play it, also looked in the download history section to re-download it and its not there just the demo

u need to unistall that version of mincraft an install again on new xbox
the current downloaded minecraft is coded/digital signautre to the xbox that died
i had this problem to when switching hdd to other xboxs
this stop people taking there hdd to there m8 house / stop its being copyed to play on other xbox's

also i think there is a download limit of 3 times ONLY of the same game

so basicly that hdd now u wont beable to play any games off it again unless u fix the old xbox
so might aswell format it

u will need to go to the system properties of the hdd and find the code that will be required for a format

this is a lesson of downloading games DONT DO IT UNLESS U CANT BUY HARD COPY
