Im awaiting delivery of my ferrari vu+ duo.

It comes pre loaded with a blackhole image, now from what iv been reading it seem as though there are some issue with installing some of the newer versions of blackhole image.

1. Would i be better just leaving the image that is on now?

2. How would this affect performance and downloading CCcam etc?

3. I read on google there is a security IC update available which enable you to update all new version, is this a good idea?

Im just a little curious as iv read alot about clones bricking etc and dont want to fall victim to this.

P.S Please no clone haters telling me i told you so..i simply cannot afford the original.

Thanks.

It probably comes with blackhole 1.7.2.
You could stick with it for a while and have a play about.
It is a pretty solid image.

If you want to try vix, it's simple.
Download image, I find 2.4 build 96 best.
Unrar file to a clean, fat 32 formatted usb stick.
Switch off the box at the back, insert usb, switch box back on.
Wait a couple of minutes until it says remove usb stick and reboot.
And that's it!
Takes about 5 minutes from start to finish.

stick with blackhole 1.7.2. untill you know what you are doing as it will run epg,c**am ect ect then when you have read up and are confident about flashing it then try others by all means, regards mdt

and how about the security IC update? mdt i see in some of your other posts you have clone boxes have you run the update on them? if so does it allow to download the most recent image updates etc?

also another question...i currently have a sky dish fitted not sure of the size but it look quite small, 60cm approx id say.

what channels with i get with my current dish?

would i need a big, perhaps motorised dish to receive all channels such as foreign premier league games etc?

m8 your best taking the good advice and leave it as is bh 1.72 is a good stable image you do not need to do any updates to it as it will be a v2 box or has the update done if its running bh 1.72 you can only go as far as bh 1.75 until the new update is released if it ever is

the channels you will get are down to where your dish is pointing most likely 28.2e which is sky uk and freesat channels

unless its on a motor and then you will be able to get other sats
