hi could any one see if they can get the pin from, this dump 24c08 i have read with carprog but the pin comes out as 40

what year/model is that a4?

The clocks are from 2003 model car is 2004. I have original pin from engine ecu.dump has been read from obd plug using carprog.

original carprog the pin can only be 4 digit or starts with 0.

And again:
Pin reading from a crypted RB4/RB8 dashboard via dump IS IMPOSSIBLE!!!
Get your SKC from engine ecu or use proper tools to do it via OBD.

so it turns out that the carprog reads correctly the pin for this dash is 40
