New image with SIM2 SSL84b and 'tweaked' 20120216 drivers.
I also included the new OpenPLi 3.0 bootlogo's, they have a nice fresh 'look'.
It looks like the DM800 doesn't get a OpenPLi 3 update because the lack of cpu power

Hi mate
Not sure about the usb HDD I only use internal but I think you should be able to mount it via Tspanel.
For your cams go to your plugins and hit the green button you can then get ALL you need there.
Regards subtitle I'm not sure unless you mean narration then to turn that off press your audio button and change it to English.

all All cams are installed already...press menu/setup/softcam/ci and there you change your cams...

For mount usb etc...format to fat32 on ur pc and the image will recognise it automatically....or press menu/TSPanel/tools-1/device manager....Voila..hope this helps

thanks for the info at first flash i was getting lots of glitches..no video on fta but a fresh reflash seems to have solved that problem. nline working better.. just guna play about with skins and try mounting my 32gb usb stick again..

I just got a 500gb internal hdd device manager allows to format to ntfs. But i realised it stiks after awhile nd i hav 2 power off da box. Also cross epg causes freezes the box

The hdd is good and has 7200 rpm

Yes it does mate but you will get the odd crash, that's just the way it is!

Question with regards to OpenPLI image. I have a DM800 HD PVR clone box and I have tried some openPLI images but they keep saying its an invalid /old image but it used to have an openPLI image. How do i know which image to use. It had a sim2 bootloader

As first poster mentioned. This is a gr8 image but I am stuck with subtitles. I have been through all the menus. There is even a subtitles option in system but all it does is change where its shown etc. How do you turn them off.

I have had no joy with the Dream elite and GP3 images as they seem to hang on booting. I have tried about 10 images and this one setup great, got epg vlc etc all running in minutes but stuck on this ****ing epg thing. PLEEEESE Help LOL

I got this image installed, mounted USB as main hdd, contain cross epg, picon folder and movie. The problem now if I open device manager, green crash screen comes " erron12 can not allocate memory". Any ideas.?. May be the picon folder cause problem?..

Hi guys hi have finally changed to this image and im very impressed, everything is working except i can not get permanent timeshift to work and the picons to display....anyone help please

skydive80 (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/members/161616-skydive80/),create a folder on your usb stick called "picon" and then put picons in there and they will show..Also i believe u have to install plugin permanent time shift for that to work..have you also set all the recording paths in the menu?? By the way i have upped a newer image the other day...

And... radio (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/members/162641-radio/),if you get your self ssl84b bootloader and flash that first then flash the image all will be fine..Your bootloader is probably older.. Hope this helps guys

had b/l 76c flashed to 84b and then flashed this image , had trouble with subs but got rid of em ! epg is great , 1channel is hit n miss , just installed mytube player ... all good so far , thanks!!

You can try this icefilms plugin buddy...Extract from the rar file and then ftpthe wholefolder to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions And then reboot box..This version worked ok for me before...You might also like to try this plugin...enigma2-plugin-extensions-tsonlinetv-1.6_1.5_all Which is live streaming on tv shows/channels etc..This you will need to install local extensions by putting it on usb or temp..Hope this helps..Let me know how you get on..

Good image but the picture quality isnt great .
I tried it on my 50" Plasma and it looks dark and blurry ,I had to increase the contrast alot to improve it.
Much sharper picture on the Dream Elite Phoenix image I was previously using.

God bless your eyesight Fano ! , also had dream elite but never noticed any change in quality .You might be splitting hairs there :laugh: . All I can say is I changed image and now have 1channell , icefilms,youtube and tsonlinetv all stable with no green screens I'll take that over picture quality any day !!

Picture quality is definitely inferior ,it looks washed out and duller.
I had to increase the contrast on the set to ~90% to get a bright enough pic on my Plasma ,dangerously high levels to be honest.
I've seen other people mention the poor picture quality on other forums.
Its a huge pity too as Open Pli is a fine image apart from that one issue but alas its a major one.

i think the picture is outstanding..He must have superhero eyes..lol...You can try this guys..menu/setup/software management/manage extensions/ and install autoresolution & video enhancement settings...picture should now be stunning..

what bootloader do you have?? if below ssl84b then you need to flash the bootloader first to ssl84b to update it and then flash the image..is this what you mean mate??

Yeh doods,I flashed boot 84b ,then image...seem to get green screen on scan or channel list add...losing Ethernet connection then box goes off...it's already on sim 201/ ssl84b

hi dooods .. am using your amazing backup for openpli : openpli-2.1-beta-dm800-20130216-sim2-ssl84b-dOOds-Backup .. but i got tired trying to let this image support arabic language " only supporting on buqquets naming ,, subtitles .. etc .. " .. suggest somthing ! or shall i try some other of your backups that supports arabic language ?

hey doods, i've been using your back up for a wee while now and i like it a lot, but, on my box it reboots on start up (sometimes more than once) or i get picture freeze,
could you shed any light as i really wanna keep this back-up, the best i've used since dream elite phoenix.

I flashed my DB800HD clone and the image installed OK
I did a scan and found all the channels. I am on the Astra 28.2

However I cannot get a single channel to show in the "all" list
When I look at Favs, all I see is N/A

Am I missing something ??

Just flashed this on a DM800HD using the estar 3.0 sim. Thankfully I have managed to get a decent image working. Word of warning for anyone! Always go for sim2 sims over the estar. Lack of support and images has been a nightmare for me. Having to resort to using old images which has been a pain but gladly as this is an older 2.1 open pli image it works on this box. Needed to use the estar converter tool to convert the standard image for it to be used on the estar.

Just got a DM800HD and so loaded this image, its great!.

I had a DM500 previously with OpenPli on. When I wanted to stream from it I opened up VLC using port 31344. I've been using the Webif on the DM800hd and am able to stream from it fine, but is there a port (like the dm500) that I can use to watch whatever is being shown on the dm800?.

I've checked around the site and can't seem to find a clear instructions for 84B and image copy

You have to pluged in the ethernet and have to connect to a router. Power off the box complete, than hold the button in the front and power on. Hold still the button until Stop! appears in the display. Now you should see an IP in the display. Open your brower on the pc, write the ip in the browser. Now you are on the site of the dreambox. Down on the site there is a button where you can flash the image.
