Can-bus messages vovlo dash

Hello dear members,

i have a volvo v70 dash have resolder the mcu and some areas on the board. Now i want to test it on the bench.
i need volvo CAN-bus message for instrument cluster to power up the dash.
Mayne someone have expirience with this.

You must have can-bus emulator for volvo to pover up , or you can built one with volvo CEM module,

I have thought about building one, connecting dash to the low speed can then connect volvo dice to cem, in volvo vida there is a function to test drive dash.
When I get one cem I'll try

Have you already tried it, i also want to make cem on bench i powerd it up but cant get communication with tester till yet, what is needed??

If you do thru Vida you need a CEM and connect obd on CEM.

If you use canbus annalyser i can give you testing files.

It if diffrent cem:s

Cem is from 2001

I connected

Obd socket
3, 11, 6, 7, 14 to cem b19, b20, b7, d6, b8.
16 plus , 4, 5 minus

B1, b2, b3 plus
E1 minus
E6 plus

Is there something missing to make diagnostic? ?

Connect keylock and put in pos2 and se if dim starts up!

do you mean it is not possilbe to make diagnostics without working key and ignition lock on pos 2

Correct, you need to but ignition on, like ps2 on keylock.

You can see this in 2 ways
1 if you do testing by vida and cem connected you do it more correct in a testing way.

2 if you do by canbus****yzer i cant see all fault as can be in a dim!
With canbus****yzer you play a file to dim on canbus connection and all instrument is f?ashing and moving, locks cool but you miss id clock is faulty by spinning or if mcu is counting wring and dont work

Please connect cem and dim, use 10-100ohm on canbus betwin (sorry cant spell correct) wite and green.
Connect keylock and put in to pos2 so dim starts up.
