Hi,

I have just got an MPPS clone v12 cable, I am having problems reading the ECU to get it tuned.

I get 12 volts, but when choosing audi a4 2.0TDI EDC16U1 k-line i get the ECU not found message.

If i leave it on the first option of alfa 145 k-line some values are read from the ecu.

Can anybody help me please.

Thanks

I had a problem reading an Audi B7 1.9TDI EDC16 2 weeks ago, both Genuine Magpro and MPPS wouldn't read. I removed fuse (#15 instrument cluster) then everything was fine. Hope this helps.

I did think about removing a fuse, I'll give it a go in the morning, thanks.

If i choose an alfa it does communicate and retrieve some values.

Did you check the handbook to see if #15 is right for your car?

Fuse 15 is for the instrument cluster and navigation according to the sticker inside the fuse flap, the date and time had to be reset afterwards, so i think its the right one, although the display in the middle was still active.

Yes, I found the same, initially I thought the who dash would go off. Did you have a charger connected? Reading with this fuse out and a charger connected, solved my issues, and I've flashed a couple of times too also with the fuse out. Thought this may help you, but maybe not, maybe someone else has some advice?

Laptop charger? I'll get an old laptop and give it a go in case its something to do with that.

No I meant a battery charger on the car, to help keep the voltage up an more stable, though this is more for the writing process.

Not on a macbook pro keyboard there isnt, lol!

Cmd + shift + 3 will do entire screen
cmd + shift + 4 will do a selected part (pointer turns into a crosshair, just mark wanted part of screen)
