You can't use any other dump unless you can recode the dash in , your original dump has the immobiliser data inside hence the vehicle won't start unless its originsl

Is the mileage not stored in the ECU too for these cars?

I look with VCDS in engine all 256 mesure blocks, but I don't found km (on pasat EDC17 you can found km on 085 - but when you change km in dash the km in ECU change too) but when I disconect MAF to get an DTC, the DTC apear with new km. I found the km in automatic transmision too on chanel 109 but couldn't reset it as VW Passat DSG. Does any one know how to reset km on this char with VCDS or is impossible ?
