View Full Version : Problem with UPA USB and NEC adapter

Hello All,

I have try to read a NEC UPD78097.


I have 2 UPA USB, 2 NEC adapter.
I have tested In circuit and On board.

I have lifted Reset pin, Vdd pin And EVen ALL PINS!!!

But always same result!!!

BAUDRATE ERROR!!!!


I have check all connexion. All is good.


Anyone can help me?

No i have tested the two position but no sucess.

You think i need to remove this jumper?

Yes remove it and try,upa reads nec very easy

I have found the problem...
It's not my UPA, it's not my connexions...

It's the MCU is dead!!!
I have kill it.
I have try with another dash and full working.

Check connections and see wich crystal it have. I had some problems also but when you find right baud it start to work nice.

I have tested and cheked all connexions.

MCU is dead.

Anyone have full memory of dashboard 307 2003 with NEC inside

You need eeprom of this mcu?? flash part you can not programing with upa or nec programmer

Yes you have right... I have forget than upa can write just eeprom.

I have asked flash because i have a new upd78.

So I must buy an other dashboard.

Thanks at all.

I have killed this mcu with my enigma... I have forget to put the adapte before read mcu.

Shit and stupid mistake!!!

Are you sure upa can't write full memory of nec mcu???
I know for motorolla mcu but i haven't read it for nec mcu...
