This is what I'm doing as well. The hardest part is finding the proper kernal. If you have the r4-iii, I think you'll need version 3.08 (english).

the problem is that there are that many clones out there of these cards ...
always ask the supplier to supply a link to the firmware for Your card

as posted before in this section http://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/ is where you get all ds firmware
