Alright Andy,

I have one, and had so for 6 months or so.

Really good phones.

Easy to root and flash custom roms, and there is tons out there to choose from.

Currently Im using Viper Rom Running Sense 4.1 ICS

I was using cyanogenmod 10 JellyBean but I missed sense and came back to a sense based rom.

You currently cannot SOff so the method to root is to un lock bootloader via HTC website.

Straight forward.

Go to link below and you will find step by step instructions and video how to's

and for roms

Are you getting this brand knew in a deal or shady dealings or 2nd hand?

Either way check the wifi signal.

there was an original batch that had a hardware fault where the wifi connect on the inside of the back cover was poor.

Now you could squeeze the area and the wifi jumped full signal, let go and it was dropout central.

It is easily fixed or they will fix it for you.

I mention this as its best to fix before you root, although you can unroot and relock bootloader.

I had rooted mine and couldnt be arsed re locking and posting back.

So i had a simple fix.

I cut a bit of earphone cable and placed it between problem area and the hard case.

I now have a constant wifi signal.

You can of course remove back cover and solder on the join and that works too.

Cheers Rod, I'm getting the next model up from yours m8 it has the + on the end. Buying from a voda shop on 12 month contract, thats the reason I have to pay 100 for phone, could of gotten it free on a 24 month, I signed a 12 months contract 15 years ago so I will not change too 24 months, hence the price.
I found this spec, HTC One X+ LTE specs (http://www.phonearena.com/phones/HTC-One-X-LTE_id7376)

Description

HTC One X + is the first phone to marry an LTE radio with a Tegra processor, and hints at things to come from NVIDIA. The new quad-core Tegra 3+ processor is souped up at 1.7GHz for the phone, but this is not all - the HTC One X+ rights all wrongs by offering a larger 2,100 mAh battery, the generous 64 GB of internal memory, and comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean - an all-around great package.

I ah saw them. Good spec also.

1.5 Quad Core with 16gb and 32gb fee dropbox for 2 years.

Think its a 1800 battery.

I have not tried the HTC ver of JB yet.

The team that does Venom are working on the JB and have it working but are not releasing till its working on all CID for all networks.

I have min underclocked to save on battery but its still rapid.

I generally get 24hrs before needing charged.
