Openbox S10HD to laptop as router

Hi guys,

I've got problems with my internet connection. I can't connect my Openbox to the wired router. So I was trying to look for a temporary solution.
I've got another 3g connection with a wireless usb "thingy", I was wondering if I could use my laptop plugged to the box and use it as "router".
Is that possible? Am I too thick? :giveup:

Some friends of mine tried this approach to get CS on a caravan site with no WiFi available & the 3G worked although there was quite a bit of freezing/glitching even from lines that were 99% stable on Hardwire/WiFi.
You could try using the network port on your laptop although you would need a crossover cable for this, you could also try the USB Dongle & Laptop WiFi hotspot solution but don't expect the same performance as the conventional options.
I have even tried the Skybox F4 with the SIM slot but as this only uses GPRS it was very disappointing performance-wise.

Let's keep fingers crossed they'll sort my internet issue soon...not sure about that bearing in mind am based in Spain...lol

Working in Gib, staying in La Linea & relying on Gibtel some years ago was like being in a communications wasteland even with Gib being at the centre of the online gaming industry!!!!!

Interesting, what network(s) have you found that give the best performance?
I've tried Virgin & Three, both kept freezing even in the London area where signal strengths are good.
