Im planing to make DIY remap. Looks like I`m almost at the final straight. My idea is to tune the car for economy up to 2250rpm and for performance from 2250-4000rpm.

Below you can see the map identified in my Hexdump and the question i have. Please let me know if you see something wrong? Any help is welcome http://www.ecuconnections.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

$C10BE Drivers wish 9x13
$C1302 Drivers wish 9x13
$C178A Drivers wish 9x13 - Why there are 3 Driver wish what is the difference(don?t have Sport Button), Is there any switch for sport button?

$C262E EGR Temperature

$C2714 Rail pressure 16x16 ? What are the axes of this map, match lower limit 1200bar for 75mg from 2000 to 6000rpm

$C2B98 EGR 16x14
$C412E EGR hysteresis 25x1
$C4194 EGR hysteresis 25x1
$C41FA EGR hysteresis 25x1
$C4260 EGR hysteresis 25x1 ? Will switch it off (notice that in same Astra engine working up to 3500, mine - 5000)

$CBA3A Friction torque 16x16 - Should check again the discussion about it in the forum
$CBE36 Torque limiter 25x1 ? Considering making this map the limiting map for my torque output, is this a bed idea?

$CC140 IQ limiter Temp (118-132C) 8x8 ? What is this temp for (coolant, fuel, ambient..), Is ok if lower the axes from 118 to 95 and increase IQ for this temp only leaving the 122C as protection. I read in the forum about a problem with a tune, where this limit the car IQ at normal work temp. Someone says it will limit for all Temps under 118C with the values set for 118C. How its related to the low temp limiter $CF112
$CC204 IQ limiter 16x16 ? Planing increase mostly by 10%, 2250-3000 by 15%

$CCB4E Lambda 16x16
$CCD92 Lambda 16x16
$CCFDA Lambda 16x16 ? are those maximum or minimum limit in relation to IQ. Again 3 maps what is the difference?

CD92E Nm to IQ conversion 16x16 ? Not planning to touch. Concerning other IQ maps I`m looking for formula to calculate the IQ required for desired Nm. Is there more accurate formula taking in account RPMs, AFR, engine type (16v CRS)? ?We can roughly estimate the amount of torque to be 1.5 * #cylinders * IQ (Injected Quantity). Injecting 60 mg/stroke in a 4 cylinder engine would then result in roughly 1.5 * 4 * 60 = 360 Nm of torque.?

$CE21A 1st Gear TL ? Are those 2x1 or 15x1, What are the units, Why will make 1000Nm limiter

$CF0D6 IQ Limit by RPM 12x1 ? This is the place where I need the IQ vs Torque formula ***61514;
$CF112 Temp IQ limiter 8x8 ? What those Temp stand for (coolant, fuel, ambient..)? Planning to increase from -20C to 40C up to 95mg/str, maybe will change the axes so 40C will become 50C (depend what it stand for.

$D031C SOI 16x16 ? Will not touch
$D4570 Lambda @ regen. 16x16 ? Will not touch
$DB606 Duration 20x20 - Will not touch.

$DDB72 N75 16x16
$DDFFA N75 16x16
$DE282 N75 16x16
$DE4C6 N75 16x16 ? Are those corresponding to the VG turbo vanes opening/closing position. Using factor 0.016276 make max value 100%. Is there any rule for adjusting those (as ill increase required boost), is it only by on the road testing for spikes?

$DF8A0 Turbo @ regen 16x16 ? will not touch
$DFD28 Turbo 16x16 - will increase from 1750-4000rpm by 3-6%. Max org 2360.
$DFFAE Atm pressure turbo limiter 16x16 ? Another car same turbo ?The turbo on this car, a GT1749VB, can handle a max boost of around 2650-2700mbar.? Turbo chart showing max PR 2.6 at 15lbs/min. So my plan is to make this limit 2570 (org is 2500 irrespective of rpm and atm pressure)
$E01AE SVBL 1x1 ? Will make it 2600

$E1B3E EGR hysteresis 25x1
$E1BA4 EGR hysteresis 25x1
$E1C0A EGR hysteresis 25x1
$E1C70 EGR hysteresis 25x1 ? Those matching my hexdump, or I just cannit match them due to some offset

$E2EB8 Inv drivers wish? 13x13 ? Not planning to touch. Inverse DW 16x16 should be the virtual pedal position (Prp_VirtAPP) to be used by speed limiter and cruise control, i.e. the inverse of the DW (at any given RPM, it tells you which pedal position would correspond to the current torque request).

$E341A SVSL 1x1 - Will not touch
$E3D82 SVFPL 1x1 - 17500
$E3DDC SVFPL 1x1 - 17500
$E3E08 SVFPL 1x1 - 16000
$E3ED4 SVFPL 1x1 - 17500
$E3F22 SVFPL 1x1 - 16000 What those stands for? Is it Fuel Pump limiter? What are the units?

$E40D4 SOI limiter 16x16 ? Pre Injection. Will not touch. What are the axes is there any factor?

$E44C8 Rail pressure 16x16
$E44E0 Rail pressure 16x16 Will increase pressure for high IQs and RPMs, to reduce pre injection duration and to advance (less heat lost, more noise - is it?)
$E49A8 Rail pressure 16x16
$E4D42 Rail pressure Temp limiter 8x8 ? What should be considered as safe temp (for High Pressure pump) if this is the fuel temp?
$E4DF0 Rail limiter 8x12

$E4EFA Swirl Flaps ? Mine are removed, should I increase recurred boost (anyway cannot make boost at 1000rpm) or change some other map to increase AFR at low RPM to compensate lack of swirl

$E5500 Cranking IQ 16x16 ? have no idea what it is, suppose no need to touch at all

https://sites.google.com/site/1810martin/remap-pd-130-to-pd-150

The % difference chart for SOI 0, pd 130 vs pd 150 shows almost no difference. All ten SOI maps show the same change.
All ten have the X - axis changed to allow more fuel to be injected. The I.Q allowed on the axis has increased from 50 mg/stroke to 55 mg/stroke.
This has been achieved by removing the 7.5 mg/stroke column, moving all the other columns one column to the left and adding an extra 55 mg/stroke column at the end.
The timing of injection is advanced slightly by moving the columns one place to the left. So more fuel can be injected by starting injection slightly earlier.

What I`m getting wrong here?
If the 35 mg/stroke axis is shifted to left it`s mean that SOI will be as it was before for 30 mg/stroke. I see this as retard. Am I wright?

you have posted a paragraph, wanting to no what to adjust etc...you want to no what to adj etc.regarding the high pressure fuel map...you want to adj in high rpms...why...this is not needed...loook at the map.look at the car and the cars fuel system...this opel-vauxhall has a high pressure fuel rail with pressure sensor...to get a good remap on this you dont need to adjust in the highest of rpms....also you go on about the v.a.g group-----but to be honest you cant put the both together...they are totalally different in there fuel systems....v.a.g hasnt got a high pressure fuel map.were you can adjust the pressures....

As far as I read my car has 1800bar pressure sensor. My duration/calibration map is up to 1840bar. By RPM and Temp car is limited to 1600bar. Thats part of my chart:

rpm

From what I read, most cars has delayed timing, and increasing the rail pressure will reduce duration i.e advancing will increase efficiency and NOx production. Also I thought it ill bring a better mixture because of the higher pressure.

Honestly i did not understood what you mean. I did not say highest, I sad high RPMs and IQ. Namely IQ 40-80mg/s, RPMs 2250-4500.

for economy adjust air system for slower boosting in n75 and increase AFR.. lowering turbo setpoints will also help..
if your foot is heavy and car too happy to response lower DW and iDW maps to adjust..
leave egr operational in economy rpm-s..
allow faster turbo pressure increase in lower IQ and faster drops when not needed..
also for Rail - keep pressure low with adjusting SOI to get same EOI will effect economy a lot.. also limit rail pressure increase will help safe you some fuel..

besides that keep engine in good condition and keep pneumatics inflated enough.. there are driving skills you can google to help you with economy..

good luck :P
