I have been trying to copy films (.mkv,avi etc) to my DM800HDs harddrive from my laptop using Dreambox control centre but when connected I can find the films on my laptop via the control centre ? Actually it wont find any files just folders and it says they are empty ?
If I put my usb pen drive in the laptop it will find it and will read that ok, I was able to copy an .mkv from it over via ftp and it plays in media player as if i had recorded it off tv. This would be okay but obviously the pen drive is fat32 so will only take 4gb films and some of the films I have are a lot larger also it would be a drain having to copy films from HDD to USB then to DM.
I can`t find any alternative to using this ? or any settings to change to make it read my laptop files ?
Any suggestions as this is starting to do my head in !!!
