Morning all DK members ,
I got 1 Vw crafter with a big problem . Not error no nothing .
Compresion is good , the same on all 5 cyl. EGR is good , turbo is good. After swaping the injectors aroung the same problem . still on cyl 1 and 5.
If the Timing was out with 1 or 2 teets didn't suppost to give me error on ecu ?
I heard when you change the clutch you need also to adjust something.... a thing from where the Crankshaft is reading the RPM. anybody ?
At IDLE injectors are working between -1 and +1
injector 1 --- 0,8
injector 2 --- 0,4
injector 3 --- 0,3
injector 4 --- 0,5
injector 5 --- 0,7
After i accelerate in 3000 RPM and above, when is coming to IDLE 2 injectors are blocked.
injector 1 --- 3.1
injector 2 --- 0,4
injector 3 --- 0,3
injector 4 --- 0.5
injector 5 --- 3.1 and the engine is running in 3 cylindres and a lot of blue smoke. After aprox. 1 minute is working good in 5 cyl. again. I change the ecu already. read it by BDM. Clone it.
I will put the original software for someoane to look into it , maybe someoane play with software,
Ecu is : 074 906 032 BA 0 281 014 132 EDC 16CP34 - 4,4
Thank you very much.

Hi Bursuc !
Don't try to copy ecu, make virgin and reprogram it like a new without take memory of your ECU. I think you have software error. I have this on Mercedes and problem was the soft......
tell me more when you do this....
Regards !

Ecu problem not only is phisical.
Sometimes ecu problem is in Flash, we said software.
Cloning in this cases is like a virus. !!!
Suggest load in "new" ecu his original ( I supose you have a copy) dump virgin, and recode Keys.
99% problem is software

I have not done in Vw....
but in Citroen sometimes problems like this are solved with an update.
I really dont Know if You could,or have access to make an update to a Vw dealer tool...so you make an online UPDATE.
If problem is software sure you will solve this way WITH A NEW SOFTWARE.
CAN BE DO IT IN YOUR CAR??? I DONT KNOW

I just put the Flash file from other ECU and leave the eeprom original. and the same result.
Check all Timing belt points, Check everything.... i don't know what to do more...send all injectors to be veryfied ? ???
Or should i change the ecu eeprom content ???
Thank you

vhat if valves stay open (just enough that they dont seal enough) at the time you try to accelarate and you dont have compression it vas happening on those t4 2.5 tdi. the problem vas in the cilinder head.

It is possible....how i check that more exactly ? .... it is possible for valves to stay open and loose compresion at high RPM...

Swap the injectors and hydraulic lifters with other cylinders and see if the problem move elsewhere

I swap the injector and the hydraulic lifters , 1 hydraulic lifter from cyl 5 was bad, but on actual values , the injector 5 is blocking again....still the same problem...maybe piston is damage ? ....

i dissasamble DPF and nothing change... i send the car to another friend to dissasamble the whole engine...he thinks one pf the piston is melted. I will keep all of you informed .
Thank you

The car works not only thanks to a computer.
If jammed reduction valve of the oil pump?
There will be the same about what the topikstarter wrote.

Has the vehicle actually had a clutch or anything resembling the timing being set up? Had this sort of thing before on a Transit or Vivaro maybe - can't remember exactly but, some idiot had held the flywheel with a screwdriver while gunning the crank pulley back on. The problem was that he had the screw driver not on the flywheel but in the timing teeth that the crank sensor monitors. Some of the teeth had bent and obviously this was giving a bad crank sensor waveform which was upsetting the ECU.
I wouldn't be messing with anything at all until I had seen the crack sensor waveform. Get a scope on it and see.
