Howdy,

Had my clone for a week, thinks it's fab, but want to play now. It's come loaded with BH 1.7.2 on it and it's ok, but I fancy a change to Vix. I see that there 2.4.155 seems to be the favoured vix image but I also see some 3.0 (Clonesafe images) for the moment, I'm happy to try the 2.4......

I'm cutting some corners though and looking to use a backup to save a little time - oscamtocccam configured etc.
I've got one image I want to try and it states that a fresh/clean install is required.
Starts looking and have to admit a temp defeat :(

Would someone with more knowhow than me be kind enough to give a pointer or two on steps to go from BH to Vix and in particular, use a backup image.

Thanks in advance all..... It's Friday :)

You just flash the image from USB and that is it.

Cheers ! Well, that's me feeling like a dafty :)
Threw me a little really, fresh/clean... was thinking there is something a little different to the norm - a la must be with serial cable not usb etc.

Appreciate the quick reply, thanks ! Still partly wondering why there is a big note on a readme saying if you havn't done a fresh/clean install on this image - you must do so.

Your reply is good enough for me though.

Have a great weekend pal !

Time to play.........

A fresh or clean install basically just means flash the image rather than a online update, and dont restore settings.

This is recommended because often things change so much between versions that settings and plugins must be setup again or they would cause problems.

"This is recommended because often things change so much between versions that settings and plugins must be setup again or they would cause problems." Crystal clear now
