I just got my vvdi with immoplus 19.2 last week,
I would like to upgrade to VVDI 2.7.6. but I would like to keep the current firmware.
Could someone please help me to generate a firmware for v19.2 my sn: 00006366 Thanks.
I have a few question about upgrading and downgrading the firmware.
1. Can I just upgrade my to vvdi 2.7.6 without upgrading firmware first?
2. What tool do I need to downgrade to v19.2.

You have to upgrade the firmware if you want to be on 2.7.6

Why would you want to downgrade back to 19.2?

Just download last version and there in menu is option for firmware update online. Anyone read CS via obd2 with vvdi? Or when it is exta activated then just vvdi cant do it? I get always msg ignition on/off and then again but nothing happend.

As the other's says you don't need to ask for update. Download Vvdi 2.7.6 and update online. VVDI 2.7.6 have also option to downgrade. But still commander is better then VVDI.

For passat i dont know because i use tango always. A6, Q7 work ok at least by older versions, Med9.1 read CS and mac but with adaptation i have no experience.

No, all data saved durning adaptation is in eeprom.

I don't know the answer, that's why I'm asking. The dealer can't adapt a used ECU so i'd like to know how VVDI does it.

I have VVDI with commander VAG8,6 and immo plus 19.1 and doing well. I never did the update and I do not know how to do it to reach the latest version. Please someone explain to me step by step how to do it, if possible. Do I have connected immo plus 4 in the interface while doing an update?

I would like to know how immo 5 works and what actually happens. Immo 5 has no PIN correct? So does VVDI read CS from car through Dash or BCM, or does it need original ECU to do this?

Adaptations are stored in EEPROM of Engine ECU, so what is in OTP area? CS? Does VVDI read CS from used ECU and this enables it to write correct adaptations in EEPROM?

Has nothing to do with VVDI. When you install dash with different VIN (used donor dash) then the ABS/ESP will detect the change of the VIN and erase the coding.
Always make autoscan first or buy a tool that can code them

when you are in immo window in the bottom right corner under the mileage correction there is ABS coding back up and restore buttons.
But you can also go in abs diagnostics and just copy long coding

Prerequisites:



At least one original matched key is present.
All keys are either brand new (meaning ordered by VIN at the VW Dealer) or were adapted to this car (IMMO-ID) before.
While adapting each key, make sure to place the other keys away from the ignition lock (reader coil). The passenger seat is an adequate place.
Battery voltage at least 12.0 V.

The Measuring block Prerequisites above apply to the VW Passat (3C) Immobilizer (http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/VW_Passat_%283C%29_Immobilizer) system however the Instrument Cluster may begin by showing 0-2 (using a 2 key example) so the 1st key may need to be reinserted as follows:

Alternatively, 1-2 would mean one of the two total keys were learned. It this is the case you do NOT have to reinsert that key because it was already learned and matched to position #1.


Switch ignition off and remove key.
Insert next key to ignition and switch ignition on again.

Seen in 8.6 it was going to read the first quadrant and are currently makes ecu.

If we have read where the pin and cs, one can earn working time.

A little bug, at leon 2005 if you make dealer key at CDC menu (Don't mind if you use tp22 or simple 48), it does dealer key wrong, if you make first tp22 and later you write 7 bytes at transponder menu, it does dealer key fine.
Add key ID to immo works fine.

My vvdi worked fine 2 years and on day ...I plugged it on computer "new peripheral detected ...vagcombios " and since this day vvdi don't work.
I have never installed any other software ,not avdi original ,not vagcom ,not fvdi only virgin xp and vvdi software .
Software updater don't work but vvdi is recognised and there is no conflict harware

It can be newer JC version. Your immo data have seen health? When you have done exactly same car its mean bug in software or faulty transponder.

It is probably dash where exist no another possibility as preparing eeprom first. There is probably 24c64 inside but structure have like 24c32.

Early 3C8 might have 24c32. You can try any options. No need to open .
After you read you will see if you read whole area .
Also - you can open cluster w/o visible marks, so tell your customer to leave cluster for few hours

If you will find any other BUG , or you can prove this one , please do as below:

1) Close VVDI.
2) go to C:\Users\Admin\Documents\VAG Vehicle Diagnostics Interface\VVDI (this is a default installation patch)
3) delete all LOG files
4) run VVDI and try to this "which not work" (Like AUDI A3 Immo read or Porshe cayen KM adjust)
5) close VVDI
6) go back to C:\Users\Admin\Documents\VAG Vehicle Diagnostics Interface\VVDI and send LOG file to 2012432714@qq.com

Every time you start VVDI new LOG file is create.
Please make sure your LOG file contain only a issue session, not whole day of your work for example :)

This will help engineer fix problem

I am in touch with engineers and they working on it all the time
They testing new options for SW update FRF, SGO upload, and many others
Dont even know exactly what options will pass test to be available in next update
better test and be sure , than relist and **** up device.

is over 5 months since latest update , hope we will be happy to see new update.
I forwarding all issue from here, so please do not hesitate to post an issue , do a LOG and tech support will fix this.

you have the programs,only haven't upgrade the firmware.
you can upgrade the firmware through the Internet(only this way) .if fail,you'd better change the Internet then try again.

Correct, VVDI can add SmartKey , made few of that. Simple buy VVDI and go ahed to make it

mate,i am not sure which module is the"BT module",could you express clearly ?
VVDI support modules are listed when scanning.if not,cannot support.

Yes it can but you will need to virginise the cluster and reprogram it with pincode


You can repair RB4 dash even original eeprom is lost or destroyed. Tested on many dashes so far. On RB8 instead you must have original eeprom (even is corrupt)

Have you try with last version,
I had one few days ago it did not what to fix it. It says on bottom repair successful but still DEF on cluster. End up replacing cluster.
I went to go to K-Line cluster , and press Repair RB4 NOT Start, Is this where you go?
