Before you do anything else just leave the car on for 10-15 minutes and see if it helps

if you just put original dump and still not work you make some damage to the cluster or some track. you must look beeter to see what you make.

If you can not get it to work,I can search for a used dash here in Sweden and send to you, I have good connection with several scrapeyards here.

The problem is the same. Maybe somewere in the flex on the back side. I don't now. I just change the 100 micro 35v capacitor, but the problem is the same

the time you lost is more faster to spend 70? with a used one. forget that and not think more.
why spend so much time with a minor problem.
how many times costumer call you about the car?
forget that and put a used one.

is my opinion

these guys seem to have a lot of time to spend and nothing else to do so they can play arround vith these ancient clusters try to repair them. scrapyards are full of old volvos and can get used cluster for 50e and job done.
