BMW F01 Dash programing

Hello,

I have a problem with BMW F01 dash programing.

Programed cas 4 with Datasmart all went ok.

Because i forgot to lower the steering wheel ,i returned cas back to the car , without dash reprograming.

Started the car and lowered steering wheel.

Removed the dash(maybe i forgot ignition on:stupid:), reprogram it and returned in car.

Removed cas again, program it again without problems and car wont start,no ignition no nothing.

Any ideas?

its nice to play with such cars. have you any backup for cas module ?

Try putting original data back in cas. If no good you may have lost key code/sync ??

Yes i have backups.

Will try in the morning to restore it.

If you dont get ignition then CAS is dead.

Remove CAS and restore backup, if you don't have a backup then more fool you.
Try reading the CAS and see what it gives.

Datasmart is good with cas never had to put backup back
In cas, it takes a good backup anyway
I think with pissing about with cas out dash in then cas back in ignition on !! It may have lost key, if it is data it should be ok when backups put back in !!!

Bought new one all works ok.

Old one still can be programed but does not work.

Cas comes coded from chasis number via main dealers

car can not start if you allready try to make sicronized DME(DDE) and CAS

but if you not touch the DME (DDE) and put new Cas4, then the car is start directly!

0km.... i was post before Thread here for one damage cas with Dp3
but on the end the solution is good, becouse the All Keys take new KM :)

with new Cas4---0km
only put the new KM in Dash, and when you start the car with all Keys..it will come the KM same like in dash

new cas4 with secured 5m48h, it is already programed to the car ? ( just connect it without any adaptation )
i listen new cas4 ordered from dealer ( with secured 5m48h ) need coding to start car

just conected cas in car, and do dash with new KM, and conected also

then put ingnition ON, and start the car,
put all keys to take the new KM and service

errase all errors, (I use Diagun last version fr this---1 minutes)

in cas3+, you can trace 3 memories ( key1 key2 key3 ) with each one stored saved mileage, so i think in cas4 you found also something same
this 3 memories, is independent from what you MOD in cas to made job and dash
i can post screen if you need ( I'm not sure i explain fine, my english is not excellent ) ;)

but if cas4 incluing 5M48H go already coded is very nice ;)
