CGW Type 1: A-Class (W169), B-Class (W245), GL (X164), E-Class (W211), ML (W164), CLS (W219), SLK, SLR, SMART.

CGW Type 2: S-Class (W221), CL (W216).

CGW Type 3: C-Class (W204), CLK (W207), GLK (X204), E-Class (W212), SLS (W197), CLS (W218).

Central Gateway control units in A-Class, B-Class, GL, E-Class, ML, CLS, SLK, SLR have a processor (912 or 9S12) and an external flash memory. The processor has an internal EEPROM, where the service intervals are stored. These intervals are also stored in the external flash memory - it can be either 29F400 or 29F800. The size of the 29F400 flash memory is 512 KB and the size of the 29F800 memory is 1 MB.

Currently, the Mercedes Commander software cannot automatically distinguish between the 2 different types of external flash memory, that is why the user should specify it.If flash memory type 29F400 is selected the software will read 512 KB and if flash memory type is 29F800 the software will read 1 MB.
