I Put my car for sale in loot yesterday and today I have got a man interested to buy my car if I gave him my account details.

He is also willing to pay me extra ?20.00 if the deal is done.

Tell me what I should write to this clown, I wonder if Mead Head has got bank account he can let me use it.

Email from Ken the buyer,
Thanks for your reply.

I am so sorry for my late response. Its was due to my work.I would have arrange for viewing today but I never knew i will be call upon and instructed from my working place to make a trip to Scotland today for a contract purpose.

once again i am sorry for not making it by coming for the viewing but i have trust in the description and the conditions you have stated about it.

I must tell you that i am still interested in purchasing your item and i am ready to make the payment because i am okay with the price.

I will pay you an extra fee of 20? for keeping the item for me and i want you to please remove the ads posting from the site and stop any transaction or arrangement you must have been having with any other buyers because i am ready to make the payment.

I will issue a certified Paycheck for the item due to the nature of my job because I'm out of town to scotland and this paycheck delivered to you latest this coming tuesday or wednesday and it will clear into your account under 2-5days.

I will arrange for shipment after you recieve the money from the Paycheck.

I will include additional shipment money on the paycheck, so immediately you get the paycheck, you will remove your own money which is your asking price(plus the 20?) and the rest money will be for shipment .

I have a shipper who will do the shipment for me so that all paper works and document for the shipment will be done to make the transaction complete.

I would have love to meet and to make this a cash only transaction but i run a busy work schedule and find it quite difficult to get around, that's the reason why am willing to mail your payments moreover am donating the item.

Therefore if you are still willing in selling it for me, feel free to provide me with the following information below to facilitate the mailing of the certified Paycheck.

(1)Your full name: (2) Contact address where payment will be sent to:

(3) Tell/cell numbers:

As soon as i have this information above,i will prepared this payment and get it sent to you.

I want you to please accept my mode of payment because its due to my trip and i will wait for the paycheck to clear before arranging for pick up.

I am waiting to hear from you so that we can proceed with arrangement on time.

looking forward to a wonderful hitch and free transaction with you

Thanks so much for your co-operation.

Regards
Ken

hi there, its a scam, scam He mentions item not car, that a generic email they use for all their scams in classified online ads, I was selling parts once and got sent a check once and went to the bank ,teller ran it she said it was fake i forwarded,to the authority's, he wanted me to deposit the check but i was a little smart. I would have been responsible for the cash from the fake check.

Tell him you have got to go to Scotland yourself because you have to check out Loch Ness as part of your job so if he can tell you where he is you could meet up with him and he can look at the car there.
Tell him he is going to get a monster bargain.

I would not repond to him.

If this is a genuine sale, and like all other members think this is a scam, go to your local trading standards, and see if they have a bank account they use for scamming, then donate the ?20 to charity.

BUT why would you ship a car that is driveable?

Yes sometimes cheaper to stick on a train and bye, or get a driver to collect?

Ask for a name and address for the log book.
