i want to change the ezs ecu, i read the eeprom with avdi.

then i wrote the dump into the used ezs, with mask 1L59W 9S12DG128CFUE

when i connect ezs to the car nothing happends.

i desoldered mcu form not working ezs and tried to read again but now i can't read whole eeprom data again, so i want to try with new mcu.

must the new chip have exactly the same mask?
i found here one but without info of mask can i use it?

Hi.

Rewriting of eeprom isn't enough in this case, if you wants to clone EZS. You should rewrite eeprom and flash of 9S12 (Rosfar R260 - best way to read/write in scheme) from original to donor and MASKs of MCUs must be same.

Smok Motorola programer is very good tool for this .

You can try here to find chip:
http://www.findchips.com/

But if you have used ezs , you can clone flash and eeprom in it. Make sure you have good programer as most of them will damage flash.

ezs have 2 ver ezs (old and new) you must check.

I wrote eeprom to another ezs without problem. You can use xprogm.

found one new mcu with 1L59W mask, can someone give me good flash and eeprom dump?

as i see there a 3 different ezs made from audi
MC9S12DG128 1L59W , MC9S12DT128 and MC9S12DT256 0L01Y

is there now also immodata in flash? there a different minds ;)

Did you have oryginal eeprom ?

yes i read original with avdi, and wrote eeprom to second hand ecu (which has the same hw and sw numbers)

the problem with my original column is sometimes the ELV does not open, when i clear faults with vcds it works normal.

The procedure of writing the EEPROM is a little bit difficult
With wich SW version of the AVDI did you written the EEPROM?
You should use V16.1 or higher.
Prior V16.1 the esential part of the EEPROM couldn't be written, but after 16.1 it also can be written.
But to be able to write this essential part you need first to make a key to the EZS which you will adapt, then rewrite the EEPROM, and then unlock the key you've already learned, and learn it again (or re-learn the existing keys of the car).
I think the best solution is to send the log files to Abritus72 and they will tell you what exactly happen.
I suppose now your problem is that the EZS don't have a key, and that's why everything is dark. And you cannot connect to the EZS because you have to wake-up the EZS with the "unlock button" of the door.

If the EZS was working before writing the EEPROM, you cannot damage it! Each flash is comaptible with each EEPROM, so don't worry.

i wrote the eeprom with xprog m clone verify all went ok, i just read the eeprom with AVDI.

after i solder back mcu and connected ezs to the car.

then nothing happends, i desoldered mcu again and tried to read eeprom again, but now i am not able to bypass sec. so i think maybe mcu is now dead.

Best Think to read KESSY MCU is Rosfar 3000 , after write virgin eeprom ignition and steering lock work (255 times ) on any key but is countdowned to zero from 255 .

Now I have car ( A6 2007 ) without orginal kessy witch was stollen , everthing else is orginal ( 2 keys , instrument cluster , engine ECU etc ) and after virginize Kessy how easly move key data and Component Security bits form Engine ECU to kessy (without buying another Abrites activation witch cost 2000 euro I have active kessy adaptation and key programming ) and of course without VAS on-line in service ? :)

its not possible to adapt ezs. Only VAS online because too much data its in ezs (cd changer, ilm, mmi etc..)
Thats why audi create component protection :)

You wrong , this data (cd changer, ilm, mmi etc..) is stored in gataway module not in ezs.

Hello guys. It seems rather old thread. I may bump it a bit.
I am in the similar situation with Audi A6 2007, which has donor parts in it. Particularly EZS, Access control and one simple key(no buttons). My question is, since I have both dumps from original EZS and the donor (currently there), if it is possible to make EZS virgin and adapt/align with the car? I also need to learn a new key with remote(buttons) to it.
Could someone shed light on "how to" or help with this task?
Thanks.

If you have both dumps, just write original dump in donor EZS. Done
