View Full Version : MB Sprinter ECU PROBLEM

Hello.This is the story : So I tried to make some mods on a MB Sprinter 2007 year.Read original file with MPPS, all ok.After modifying the file, saved, checksum corrected, try to write file with MPPS, at 100% it gives an error, saying Conditions not correct.tryed to re write the original file back, same problem.I opened the ECU, tryed to write the original file back with BDM , it says everything ok, but the car won't start.It doesn't even turn the engine.If anyone has ever had this kind of experience, advices are welcomed, thanks.

after reflash mpc, read the whole file ? mpc + m58b and write or ? ....

checkum after unsuccessful read-write are not stable.they are one solusion.write original file and scn.

you need write ori file back and hope that mpps not **** whit the file the renew ecu whit abrites and code to car again das will allso do the job to say you are en deep water i think hope you get it fixed

no use guys.I tryed orig files, checksums, everything.Any other oppinions ?

1. How did you open the ECU?
2. File read by BDM and MPPS are diffrent. You need ori flash BDM read.

Read all contents with BDM and upload here. We will take a look on it..

when you crash ecu with mmps ...

you need to read bdm before you write
then you need to marry the bdm file and the mpps file
to make a bdm file (because in quite 75 % of mpps file should been empty that's why you need to do so ...

Ok, so :
#1 is the MPPS read who was read to 100%, without problems.
#2 is the bdm original file read AFTER the write with mpps went wrong.
#3 is M58BW016XB read after the failure writing.
#4 is mpc563/4 after the failed writing with mpps.
All in the file attached below.

Hi,
Try this, restored the bdm file with a serial read from CMD.
Your MPPS original was already modified for a DPF off mod of some kind?

Ok, so :

mpps your original file is a bad file fap off does not work cks ok

So, i wrote the file that smayer sent, the car starts very badly, after 3 or 4 cranks, has no power, like the turbos don-t kick in.The car had the same problem with the file that easytech sent, so I don't think it-s a fap off issue.Any idea would be very helpfull!Thank you.

Post ECU part number or try find original dump. I think you have the wrong software for your ECU.

Could I try to write the original file via MPPS ? Or will it fail again in writing via OBD ? Will post Bosch part number later.

This is original file for your ECU, test and report before DPF off.

My file was an original CMD serial file.
CMD doesn't read the first mapset is it is not active.
So I compiled your MMPS together with my file.
The problem was the RSA key it was erased and damaged.
Are there any codes?
As there was somebody else working on the DPF off as you said could there be something else, DPF is empty?

This flash have Eprom emulated, now you have immo problem. Need virgindeze and adapt with das.

I don't have DAS.Is there any other way ? Totally remove immo ? or copy immo values from the file that works ?

Your original file have diferent soft # and i can?t find it. Immo off it?s not possible in this car.

The DPF OFF file that you sent me?Isn't there any way to improve it? And another thing? If I try to write the file that the car first had with MPPS? will I get failure again ?

The version from Smayer is from a 80Kw version yours is 110Kw.
That isn't going to work you have to change the EEprom also then.
What is the railpressure when starting?

So I finally got this car back with the following errors :
P1955 PowerTrain Stored Manufacturer Defined P0243 PowerTrain Stored Turbo/Super Charger Wastegate Solenoid "A" P0101 PowerTrain Pending Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Range/Performance
Cleared all DTC, but P1955 remained stored.
The file running inside the ECU now is the DPF off from smayer!Thanks
