tomtom navigator 6 safety camera alerts.

i have a N95 with tomtom navigator 6.020 installed on it.

every thing works fine except for the poi alerts.

i have them enabled and also have a warning tone which alerts me when within 150 yrds of the safety cameras, this works fine when there's a route planned.

If i don't have a planned route the cameras show on the map but there's no audible warning !

when driving to destinations i know there's no need to plan a route but i'd still like to hear the safety camera warnings

Is this a common issue or is there a fix ?

finally sorted it out.

Change Prefs.
Manage POIs
Warn When near
Then select each individual camera setting to give a warning distance. At the end there is the option to 'warn if on route'

i thought this 'warn if on route' option was for warning only if the camera was in the direction of travel but obviously not. :stupid:
