This ecu have tunning protection or not for doing through obd2 ?

How i can check ?

Hi M8,
No through eobd!
But you can do it on bench, but you need tricore protocols been activated and wires, the other way is ktag (BDM).

Why you do not check into kess help, or ask to alientech?

Kess in 90% tell you in identification if protection is enabled, so you can try it over obd...but there is little risk that you can block ecu - or make it by tricore

kess does not start reading if it has tp, it says "ecu not found". try directly reading and see :D

tprot v2. x17 can read this ecu via obd.

Beware for next cars, because from same date will be t-protected if sofware was updated at dealer!

Over OBD without genuine tools is a fake lotto!!
