I think starting a thread on Astro box for Malaysia is going to be interesting and I believe with so many experts/ enthusiast in the forum, they will be keen to share their knowledge and hopefully it does benefits the newbies too.

Astro to be view on Cable set top box or Satellite set top box?

Why start a new thread in the Cable forum when there were already few discussions in the Dreambox Satellite sub-forum?

If I want to try and set it up in SG...

Add in a compass and a Satellite Dish tracking meter. This is very useful when u need to get the Max signal strength oso when u switch Sat to ST2 or 5. All equipmt can b gotten from CN or best u go JB to seek used, very very cheap. A used but mint condition Astro Beyond 65-75cm with universal LNB is only MYR100 (SGD45) or the 45cm with LNB Used MYR70.
Box u can use DB-S or any pre-configured S10 or the likes from CN. Master AstroBox can enlighten u more bcos he is a PRO, I m juz a end-user.

If it is Astro autoroll for Astro-S2 (Astro-Beyond), then no need of -share. Very hard to get, grab 1 asap. The life is 1 yr only, take note. Most r juz SD, HD+SD only in OEM boxes. I may b wrong. Some sites r old and talking abt goldcard era (old system) that is not very useful. What we want now is Astro-Beyond, ( like SH N3 system).
