Ok guys, I'm in need of some help here.I have been trying to change my cam from cccam to mgcam or newcam.I have been searching for weeks now for a correct way to do it but seem to be hitting a brick wall.I have a DM800se clone with OpenPLi 2.1 image installed on it.I have tried every possible way of doing this but it is really getting to me now.I have had to reflash my box loads of times because I keep messing about with stuff using DCC.I would be very grateful if someone has a full guide on how to do this.Maybe the image I have is not compatible with these cams? Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks Blueflash.I tried that method and still get nothing. When I have fixed mc_cfg file and put my line starting with the CWS = instead of N: and then changed to mgcamd in Softcam setup, the best I've had id a 5sec picture then nothing. Its really frustrating.

are you using an Mgcamd that works with OpenPLI as some could have problems, easiest way is to install tspanel and download a cam direct from the feeds for your image and then tweak the mg_cfg file

Digicon you are an absolute star.Once I installed TSpanel from menu/plugins/download/extensions-TSpanel.I then went menu/TSpanel/softcams/install-MGcam 1.35a.Then onto DCC-FTP/usr/keys/newcamd.list and put my line in,saved and exit. Then a reboot of my box and back into Softcams in my TS panel and green to restart cam.Bingo.I hope this info can help someone else with the same problem.
