View Full Version : Dreambox 800se network problem

Hi ALL

Strange problem with a dreambox 800hd se clone i normally use the router to flash the box with no issues however this box wont flash this way had to do it with a service cable and dreamup not a problem......the box will connect to my network with the ethernet port and also wireless the router will give it an ip but when i put the ip into DCC nothing happens it says its not connected....i know its not the router as i have no problem with my other boxes....turned the computer off and all that other stuff still nothing anyone any ideas whats up and is it fixable without having to send it back:stupido2:

when you connect the dm800se with the ethernet cable directly to your router,
whilst you switch on the box hold down the power button,
you'll see on the little screen on the dm800se it will say *STOP* and then it should give you an ip address,
whatever the ip address is,
type that into your internet browser chrome etc and then you will see the interface from which you can flash whatever image you want...

Yep I know the IP address of the box not a problem but when I try and flash the box with the ip it won't show the flash page and if I type the ip of the box into dcc it won't find it either its a strange one can't figure it out at all

Hi

Try this, clear your cache history. Then do as been suggested above and you should get to the update page.

By the way what browser are you using.

Ok I cleared cache still no joy ......I use Firefox as a browser.....I think it's just a bad box

If i recollect correctly, i had to use ie to flash mine as firefox wouldn't

Try another browser. If no show reset firewall or disable an power everything off for couple mins.

Thanks lads tried everything wasted a few days and got nothing.......just sending it back and getting a replacement
