Definitely both wil do it in a Flash, some times usa prog damamge the dump will show 0 on cluster, if this is the case just do the cluster and will set the new value.

You will have to drill the rivet pot on the module, they can be replaced with nut and bolt.

But if you can do it by OBD would be best and easy way , beside as some one will thell you the like to work the OLD WAY and HATE THE OBD PLATAFORM.
