As far as I know wheel speeds are measured by the ABS and then send via can-bus to the transmission.
Engine cutting out looks to me as a separate problem.

Do a full scan with VCDS or similar to get all the trouble codes from all systems.

My friend I checked the vin number of the vehicle, it is a megatronic transmission, which means that the TCM is actually part of the valve body inside the transmission. (In the multitronic transmissions the TCM is in the transmission but not part of the valve body but in the megatronic the tcm and valve body are one unit so if megatronic is faulty you need to replace it as a unit).

However if I look at the fault codes you are getting I would say that you have a fault in the vehicle wiring or a connector. I will attach a off-line copy of ross-tech wiki. You can go into that folder, click on fault codes and scroll down to code 01315 and it will explain to you what causes that fault code and what to check for to repair it.

If you need anymore help we can try our best to assist you. Keep us updated.
