Try Filezilla, it does the same thing as DCC

Go into the menu/setup/network of the box and do a network test.
If you get a green tick on ip address that's the confirmed ip.
I like to use flashfxp you can find that in downloads. If you search the forum there's a tutorial on using flashfxp

Best way is to do a network test if you get the green tick thats the ip of the box.
You could assign your own ip address and have a static ip which i would recommend and disable dhcp.
If you type the ip address into your browser bar of the laptop and hit enter and you get dreambox web control up then you know its correct.
Do the test first,

Andy.

It sounds to me that you have not set a password yet for the box. To allow files to be send too and from the box the password needs to be set. Click on the telnet button and it may still allow you access to root. In the telnet session type passwd this should then promt you change the password. If it does not work in dcc then use a program called putty.
